Who are WWT?

WWT, formerly known as the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust, are a global community of nature lovers who share a vision of a world where healthy wetland nature thrives and enriches lives.

Founded in 1946 by Sir Peter Scott, WWT are the only UK charity with a national network of nine wetland centres. With over 60 years of experience in wetland conservation, they are committed to protecting of wetlands and the wildlife that depends on them to survive.

Ongoing support from donations helps WWT to do incredible things. Over the years, they’ve protected endangered species and habitats, restored and created new wetlands and inspired people to connect with nature.

Do I have to pre-book my WWT entry tickets?

Yes. All member tickets must be pre-booked in advance of your visit.

When you check out, you’ll be prompted to enter your Boundless membership number and the name of the WWT centre you plan to visit.

On arrival, show your booking confirmation and membership card at the gate with a form of photo identification.

What is an accepted form of photo identification?

WWT accept passports, driving licences and other forms of photo identification such as photo railcards and photo bus passes. If you’re unsure what is accepted, please telephone the WWT centre that you’re visiting in advance, for further information.

What is the age limit for free child admission?

Boundless members can bring up to five children aged 4 – 16 years for free, per visit. For child guests to qualify for free entry, they must be accompanied by a Boundless member. On arrival, you’ll be asked to show your booking confirmation and membership card at the gate with a form of photo identification.

Can I bring a guest?

Yes. One adult guest will qualify for 50% discount off standard adult entry per visit. Tickets will only be valid when accompanied by a Boundless member. When you arrive, you’ll be asked to show your booking confirmation and membership card at the gate with a form of photo identification. Additional guests will be charged standard adult entry.

Is there parking at WWT centres?

Yes, there is free parking at all WWT centres. Please make sure that you give your car registration number at the admission desk at WWT London centre, to avoid any fines.

Can anyone use my membership card?

No. Unlimited access to WWT centres is only available to Boundless members and their guests. To qualify for free entry and/or discounted tickets, both adult and child guests must be accompanied by a Boundless member. On arrival, you’ll be asked to show your booking confirmation and membership card at the gate with a form of photo identification.

Are there any additional wetlands that are free to visit?

Yes, Steart Marshes, one of the UK’s largest new wetland reserves, is open to the public free of charge all year round. The reserve features car parks and paths suitable for walkers, wheelchair users, pushchairs, cyclists and horse riders.

You’ll find hides and toilets on site. While there is no café, it’s an ideal location for a picnic.

Terms and conditions

Unlimited access to all nine WWT centres is available with Boundless and Boundless Plus.

WWT tickets are only valid for current Boundless members and their guests. All WWT tickets must be pre-booked in advance of visit. Members must be present and show their booking confirmation and membership card with a valid form of photo identification.

If you’re unable to show a valid Boundless membership card and corresponding photo ID, you’ll be asked to pay the difference up to the normal price of admission at the entry gate in order to be admitted.

Tickets purchased in excess of member entitlement will be charged at the standard admission rate.

Admission benefits are only available on general admission. Excludes ticketed events.
