Pink blossom at Wakehurst

Name of event: Sounds of Blossom. In collaboration with the Royal College of Music

About the event: Celebrate the arrival of spring at beautiful Kew Gardens in London – it’s a chance to boost your spirits and reconnect with nature as you immerse your senses in the glory of spring. Sounds of Blossom brings the beauty of Kew’s spring blooms to life with music exclusively composed for the occasion.

When: 15 March – 6 April 2025, 10am – 6pm every day (last entry at 5pm).

Location: Kew Gardens, TW9 3AE

Admission: Entry included with your Boundless membership. You’ll need to book your tickets in advance.

Tell me more: In this unique collaboration with the Royal College of Music, Kew have commissioned students from the college to compose new pieces - inspired by the glory of spring, which will be played at specially chosen locations around the gardens.

Name of event: Dog walks at Wakehurst

About the event: Wakehurst’s 500-acre site offers designated dog walking routes around their extensive gardens which take in a variety of lovely landscapes and beautiful views. You’ll also find a dedicated off-lead area close to the Millennium Seed Bank where your dog can run freely.

Pick up a dog walking map at the entrance to find the best places to get dog treats, water, complimentary biodegradable waste bags and locations of waste bins.

When: The gardens are open from 10am – 6pm every day (last entry at 5:30pm).

Admission: Entry included with your Boundless membership.

Do I need to pre-book for the Children’s Garden at Kew?

No, pre-booking is not required for the Children's Garden.

Can anyone use my membership card? 

No. Free admission to Kew Gardens and Wakehurst is only available to Boundless members. When you arrive, you’ll be asked to show your membership card at the gate with a form of photo identification.

What age is a child admission?

Boundless members get free admission for up to five children aged between 4 – 15 per visit. Children under 4 go free. Tickets will only be valid when accompanied by a Boundless member. When you arrive, you’ll be asked to show your membership card at the gate with a form of photo identification.

Can I bring a guest? 

Yes. Plus, an adult guest will qualify for 50% discount off standard adult entry per visit. Tickets will only be valid when accompanied by a Boundless member. When you arrive, you’ll be asked to show your membership card at the gate with a form of photo identification.

Where can I park? 

Kew Gardens:

Kew Gardens car park is located at Ferry Lane, near Brentford Gate, postcode TW9 3AF. Parking is limited and costs £9 per day.

Wakehurst:

Parking at Wakehurst is free for Boundless members. Show your membership ID at the Visitor Centre and a member of staff will £0.00 your parking for the day.

Can I leave a donation? 

Through our world-class research and diverse living collections, Kew scientists are discovering long-term solutions to combat biodiversity loss and climate change.

You can donate online at kew.org, at the till or at one of the contactless donation stations onsite. A Gift Aid donation is hugely appreciated if you’re able to do so.

You and your furry friend are invited to enjoy a specially curated dog-walking route that takes in the sights, sounds and smells of the Sussex countryside. You can ramble through Bloomers Valley, the perfect spot to enjoy a view of the dramatic landscape, and walk alongside the Water Gardens, a peaceful oasis in the heart of Wakehurst.

Energetic pooches can also roam free in a new off-lead area overlooking the Millennium Seed Bank.

Before heading home, why not pop into the dog-friendly Seeds Café for a drink and a snack? The shop is also dog friendly and stocked with a range of gifts, plants, books and homeware.
