Rise a traditional tram at Beamish museum

The Dorset Group invites you to a talk by Brian Margetson on A Celebration of Trams Around the World.

Dead and almost buried during the 50’s in the UK, the tram has come out fighting. Seven systems are now up and running around the country. Elsewhere in the world the tram managed to hang on and is now flourishing.

This presentation looks at several milestones in the development of the tram both at home and abroad and takes you on a journey from Stateside to continental Europe.
