International Women’s Day: Normal Women – 900 Years of Making History

Event Date: Tuesday 11 March 2025    |    Time: 7pm – 8pm

Join us for a special online event with historical novelist Philippa Gregory, author of the award-winning The Other Boleyn Girl and The Cousins’ War, later dramatised on BBC1 as The White Queen.

Philippa is also a renowned historian, known for bringing to life women’s stories from the past and she’ll be talking about her latest book, Normal Women – 900 Years of Making History, a fascinating study detailing how women’s lives have changed over 900 years from 1066 to the present.

The book redefines ‘normal’ female behaviour and Philippa will be introducing us to women who fought jousts, flew Spitfires, built ships, went to war, tilled the fields, protested and rioted, committed crimes, wrote and loved.

This promises to be a fascinating evening, and we’ll be giving away five copies of Philippa’s book on the night.
