Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – 11 November

The hotly anticipated sequel to 2018’s phenomenally successful Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe even further than ever before. Exploring how the fictional nation of Wakanda has dealt with the death of its king, this film sees beloved characters fighting to protect it from a new global threat. 


Strange World – 23 November 

Strange world

Starring the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie Young-White, Gabrielle Union, and Lucy Liu, Strange World follows a famous family of explorers embarking on an adventure to a mysterious planet inhabited by aliens. The 61st animated film produced by Disney, Strange World will be sure to highlight exactly why Disney remains at the very top of the animation game. 


Matilda the Musical – 25 November

Matilda the musical

Based on the stage musical of the same name, which is itself based on the 1988 novel, Matilda (by beloved children's author Roald Dahl) Matilda the Musical looks set to take everything great about the stage show and turn it up to eleven. With an all-star cast including Lashana Lynch, Emma Thompson, Andrea Riseborough and Steven Graham, this adaptation will no doubt be a family favourite for years to come.


Avatar: The Way of Water – 16 December

Over a decade in the making, this James Cameron directed and produced blockbuster is the sequel to the former highest-grossing film of all time, Avatar. With most of the original cast returning and vast amounts spent on developing the cgi technology to bring the world of Pandora to life, The Way of Water looks set to be even more visually impressive than the first entry in the franchise. 


Puss in Boots: the Last Wish – 3 February

Another sequel being released over 10 years after the first film, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish also sees most of the original cast return. Starring Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek alongside new cast members Olivia Colman, Florence Pugh and Ray Winstone there’s enough star-studded voicework here to entertain adults as thoroughly as kids. 


Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania – 17 February

The third film in the Ant-Man series will see Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily return to their titular roles alongside new cast members Michelle Pfieffer and Michael Douglas. Sure to be a welcome addition to the series, this film sees the heroes explore the ‘quantum realm’ and its inhabitants before facing off against new villain Kang the Conqueror. 


The Super Mario Bros. Movie – 31 March

Based on the wildly successful Super Mario video game franchise, starring a certain overall-clad italian plumber, The Super Mario Bros. Movie will no doubt provide a welcome burst of colourful fun this winter. Starring Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, Seth Rogan and many more, this adaption won’t be one you (or your kids) will want to miss.
