3. Enjoy a night at the opera

Set in 1930s Paris, this iconic story revolves around a young, impoverished couple whose love is tested to the limits by the circumstances in which they find themselves. Marrying the supreme talents of lead duo Nadine Benjamin and Joshua Blue with eye-popping stage sets and costumes, this production of La Bohème will leave you breathless.

4. Cook up a feast

From roast beef to Lancashire hotpot, traditional British cuisine never fails to make the tummy rumble. Indeed, such is the appeal of Great British grub, an annual event has been launched in its honour. Taking place this year from 20 September to 6 October, British Food Fortnight aims to promote this country’s staple dishes, as well as the ingredients that are produced on these shores.
