With nine havens of nature located in choice spots around the UK, WWT has more than its fair share of stunning wildlife photography to inspire a visit, join us as we take a look at our favourite candid nature snaps
WWT works hard to protect, restore and even create new wetlands, bringing people closer to nature in the process. Home to all sorts of inspiring wildlife, the UK’s wetlands provide homes for a huge variety of creatures and plants year-round, as well as playing an important role in natural flood protection. So naturally, when visiting this unique biome, there’s ample opportunity to photograph some of it. We’ve collated our favourite candid wildlife photographs that truly capture the majesty, beauty and humour of the UK’s wetland wildlife species.
Whether you’re on the lookout for wading birds, secretive amphibians or simply some beautiful flora, there’s something for every nature lover at WWT centres around the UK. As a Boundless member you and up to five children can take advantage of unlimited access to all nine WWT centres, plus 50% off for one additional adult guest.
The fun doesn’t stop in colder weather either, visitors this winter can enjoy a variety of seasonally exclusive events from the chance to feed wild birds to witnessing jaw-dropping murmurations of starlings (which can take place from October to March). And with so much to see, there’s already a broad stock of photography from the creatures and plants at these sites to enjoy and inspire.
