But do you know what links this dazzling streak of light across the night sky – also known as a meteor – and the incredible process by which the planets in our solar system were born? In this fascinating talk, astronomer and science presenter Will Gater explores the extraordinary scientific story behind shooting stars. He’ll take you on a journey from the beginnings of our planetary neighbourhood right up to our present day exploration of the strange worlds which float in the darkness of space. Not only that, but he’ll also give you practical tips and advice on how to see shooting stars and meteor showers. You’ll never look at a shooting star the same way again!
