Designed by Brunel and launched in 1843, SS Great Britain is one of the most famous vessels in maritime history. Don’t miss the guided tour for a fascinating insight into the ship’s history, and the kids will get a real sense of what life was like on board for passengers and crew with the many interactive exhibits.
From the bustling deck to the original cabins, there’s so much to explore – try your hand at the Crew on Board challenge and test your skills at the Victorian games. You can also enjoy a picnic on the harbourside or grab a bite to eat at the café.

Ticket Information
Boundless members can book a maximum of four tickets per membership number.
- Boundless members can book up to two adult tickets and three child tickets per membership.
- Adults (aged 18 and over): £10 per ticket – saving you £12 per ticket!
- Children (aged 4 to 17): £5 per ticket – saving you £8.50 per ticket!
- Infants (aged 3 and under): free
An update to ticket allocation for our member days
Our ticket prices are kept low thanks to our non-profit status, which allows us to subsidise them in addition to the discounted rates that we’ve negotiated. This means we have a limited allocation of tickets available per event. Tickets are capped at 4 tickets per member.
However, if you want more tickets to bring your family and friends? If they’re eligible, simply refer them to Boundless to become a member. Plus, you’ll earn a £10 Love2shop voucher when they join.** Or, you can purchase additional tickets directly with the venue at full price.
Tickets are limited and selling fast, so be sure to book yours early. This event is an exclusive benefit for Boundless members, and the tickets are only available in advance – they cannot be bought on the day. Tickets are subject to availability and may not be sold or transferred. The booking member must be present on the day along with any guests, and show their Boundless membership card and identification to gain admission to the reserve.

How do I get there?
The address for the venue is:

Please note that Bristol’s Clean Air Zone is in effect. Some vehicles (less than 29% of cars) have to pay to come into Bristol. Check whether your vehicle will be charged. An alternative option to consider is the Long Ashton Park and Ride service which operates from Monday to Saturday.
Please be aware that a bus gate is in effect on Cumberland Road. Be alert for bus gate signage as you leave SS Great Britain.
Where do I park?
Parking is available at the Maritime Heritage Centre car park next to the venue. Our visitors pay a discounted rate of just £5.20 to stay up to five hours. Just park in any space and head to the Boundless ticket area to make payment.
What should I do when I arrive?
When you arrive, come and see the Boundless team by the entrance, where we’ll give you everything you need for the day, your guide book and entry for the prize draw.
Are there any age restrictions?
All guests will need an admission ticket. Children aged 3 and under are free and do not require a ticket.
I have a friend or family member who wants to come as well
Great, bring them along! The only provision is that the booking must be made by a Boundless member and that everyone who attends has a valid admission ticket. The Boundless member will have to show their membership card and identification on the day and any guests will have to accompany them on arrival.
Only tickets purchased through Boundless will entitle you to member day benefits. Boundless tickets must be reserved in advance and will not be available on the day.
What time does this event start and end?
The events runs from 10am to 5pm.
How do I get my tickets?
Your tickets will be sent to the email address you’ve registered with Boundless within 24 hours of purchase. We’re unable to send tickets to any other address. Don’t forget to check your spam or junk folder, just in case they end up there!
Can tickets be transferred?
Once you’ve bought your event tickets they cannot be transferred, as a current member with valid membership card needs to be present. This is because we have a very limited number of tickets and must ensure the offer benefits Boundless members.
