Free events, advice, giveaways, quizzes – there's so much to gain from joining one of our member groups. And you can do it right now
Boundless membership comes with lots of fantastic benefits, including year-round discounts and a feature-packed bi-monthly magazine delivered direct to your door.
But one of the best benefits is being able to join any number of the fabulous social groups that have been set up in the name of Boundless. Covering a range of interests, from motorsports to reading, photography to gardening, the groups are full of friendly and enthusiastic Boundless members – just like you – who love nothing more than sharing tips and photos, or simply having a good old natter.
“I have really enjoyed being a member of the Boundless online groups,” says Boundless member Madeleine Grubb. “Not only are they a great source of information and advice on my hobbies and interests, they enable me to find out about upcoming events and activities, enter regular quizzes and giveaways, and be a part of our friendly, knowledgeable and – occasionally – competitive community.”
Here are just some of the things that Boundless groups are doing at the moment...
Note that during the pandemic, all Boundless Interest Group activity is taking place exclusively on Facebook. However, we look forward to seeing you all in person once restrictions are lifted. To keep track of what each group is planning in the months ahead, visit our Interests and Hobbies page.
Boundless Gardening Group
If you love planting and sowing, raking and growing, then the Boundless Gardening Group is for you. A rich source of inspiration for green-fingered types, it's inhabited by some of the friendliest people you're ever likely to meet. We have just teamed up with renowned gardening blogger Hayley Moisley to present a three-part video series for all Boundless members, about getting your green space ready for spring. The first instalment is online now, with the next one due on 1 March. And in April, we will be launching a Boundless Sunflower Grow Along for everyone to get involved with.
Boundless Cooking & Baking Group
Whether you're a kitchen novice or a culinary magician, you'll find something to get your teeth into at the Boundless Cooking & Baking Group. Delicious recipes are uploaded to the Facebook page on a regular basis, giving you something new to try at home. On 2 March, we're celebrating British Pie Week with lots of useful tips and giveaways. And on 4 May, we're running a very special online event in which chef Kanthi Thamma will teach members how to cook a traditional South Indian meal. This famous class has previously sold out an incredible 50 times – so you'd better get in quick! To book your place, click here.
Boundless member and volunteer Karen Murray is among those who regularly visit the Cooking & Baking Group's Facebook page. “Virtually every day, you'll find inspirational bakes and great cooking tips on there,” she enthuses.
Boundless Reading Room
Have you ever finished a book and wished you could have someone to discuss it with? Well, that's where the Boundless Reading Room comes in very handy. The members of the group are so friendly and love to share their opinions on tomes both modern and classic. We run monthly 'book of the month' giveaways, in which members get the chance to win one of five copies; host book-based discussions that everyone can get involved with; run quizzes for people to test their literary knowledge; and post inspiring and positive messages for members to reflect on.
Boundless Photography Group
Photography is one of those pastimes that never get boring – there are always new tricks to learn and skills to master. You'll pick up a wealth of knowledge and inspiration at the Boundless Photography Group. Members are always sharing tips and photos, offering technical advice and supporting one another. Every month, there are themed competitions in which the winners are voted for by members of the group. And if you love taking close-up shots, don't miss our macro-photography masterclass on 9 March.
One person who's been taking full advantage of the Photography Group is Boundless member and volunteer Alan Murray. “Using my smartphone camera was always convenient but had its limitations,” he says. “By joining the Photography Group, I've been able to gain views on the latest tech and see great results shared by other members.”
Boundless Camping & Caravanning Group
We might not be able to go camping or caravanning at the moment due to Covid-19, but there's still loads happening every day at Boundless Camping & Caravanning Group. Our largest group, its Facebook page is regularly inhabited by members sharing their favourite pitching spots, travel routes and modifications, and Boundless also runs mini quizzes and giveaways as a little extra bonus. Of course, once restrictions have been lifted, you'll also be invited to attend the group's fabulous rallies – so popular are they that most sell out within the first week of being advertised!
Boundless Social Breaks & Holidays
If you enjoy taking holidays with likeminded folk, then this group is your passport to fulfilment. Boundless Social Breaks & Holidays is run by people who love to get away from it all and would love you to join them. They'll find great UK and foreign holiday deals and organise everything – all you have to do is pay for your tickets, pack your suitcase and turn up. Obviously, travelling isn't allowed right now, but the group's Facebook page is regularly updated with new holiday offers, as well as inspirational content about places we'd love to visit in the future. Oh, and we currently have a fantastic giveaway to win a Fortnum & Mason Hamper worth £150 – what more reason do you need to join?
Boundless motoring groups
Mad about motoring? Then you'll be pleased to know there are several Boundless groups that cater for this particular passion, including Boundless Classic Vehicle Group, Boundless Karting Group, Boundless Motorcycle Group, Boundless 4x4 Group, Boundless Marshalling Group and Boundless Motorsports Group. These groups all feature similar activity – general conversation, information about future events, maintenance advice, plus photos of cherished vehicles and past outings. We also post giveaways and quizzes from time to time, as something extra to engage in.
Boundless Local Groups
As well as the Boundless Interest Groups mentioned above, you can also join one of the numerous Local Groups available to Boundless members. Representing different areas of the UK, these groups organise events and activities throughout the year to help you engage with fellow members and the local area.
Due to the pandemic, all Local Group activity is currently taking place online, meaning that all Boundless members can take part in it, no matter where in the UK they are. For a full list of forthcoming Zoom events, click here.
